# 1. Introduction

This document defines the boundaries of the Student Bazaar project. It specifies what functionality will be included in Version 1 of the system and identifies features intentionally excluded from the initial release.

Clearly defining the project scope helps maintain development focus, prevents unnecessary feature expansion, and establishes realistic expectations for stakeholders.

The primary goal of Student Bazaar is to provide students with a dedicated online marketplace where they can buy and sell second-hand products through a secure, user-friendly platform without processing payments or acting as an intermediary in financial transactions.

Students can:

- Make Offers
- Accept Offers
- Reject Offers
- Counter Offers

The final agreed price is stored within the platform.

## Chat System

- One conversation per product listing
- Chat activates after both students exchange their first message
- 10 free messages per conversation
- Rewarded advertisements unlock 5 additional messages
- Premium users receive unlimited messaging

## Meet-up Scheduler

Students can:

- Suggest Date

# 4. Out of Scope (Version 1)

The following features are intentionally excluded from the initial release:

The platform will not:

- Process payments

- Resolve payment disputes

Student Bazaar will not:

- Arrange deliveries
- Track shipments
- Provide courier integration

## Identity Verification

Version 1 will not include:
